As per JIPM website, the TPM Awards for 2023 have been announced on 2nd February 2024. Before we go into the awards list, let us give a brief review of the TPM Awards. The Awards were launched in 1964. Initially, the awards were called PM Awards and were given only to Japanese industry. Later, from 1991, JIPM started issuing the awards to companies worldwide. It must be remembered that the awards are issued to individual facilities and not to the whole company. Therefore, a single company may boast of having so many awards in various categories. So far, more than 2000 companies have been awarded various categories of the TPM awards.
The best news regarding the awards is that the topmost, “The World Class TPM Award”, has been given to an Indian company, which is the only winner in this category.
